Weekend Down South Escape the cold NYC winter and join us down south with the Galloping Guru horses for this uniquely curated trip offering you all the BEST that The South has to offer! Stay in the small town of Thomson, Georgia, home to the famed Belle Mead Hunt, Foxboro Farm. and the Pine Top Horse Trials! The horses are stabled at Foxboro Farm, spanning 300 acres with maintained trails, cross-country jumping fields, hunter arenas, dressage rings, a round pen and a Grand Prix jumping field. You will start your trip at Foxboro on Thursday and Friday with 2 hour hacks through this magical Disney Land for Equestrians! Get to know your horse over various obstacles and terrain with instruction. You will love to explore this expansive training ground. Thursday, we encourage you to stop at the grocery store on the way and coordinate a tailgate with the other riders in our group. Spend the morning on a leisurely timeline and enjoy the company of your group and horses in this beautiful setting. Finish your ride Friday afternoon and head over to watch the pros compete at the Pine Top Horse Trials, just a short 15 minute drive from Foxboro! Cheer on your Sunday clinician, Booli Selmayr, as she competes at the top level! Saturday you have 2 options, a morning XC ride at Foxboro or an afternoon hunt with Belle Meade! The morning XC will involve hacking and schooling over some of the many jumps around the exceptional training grounds. Riders who want to experience the unparalleled sport of foxhunting in an expansive hunt country with 4 flights and a range of speed and jumps can join Belle Meade for their afternoon meet! Get there early to enjoy a fabulous stirrup cup and meet some of the wonderful members of this hunt. Stay after for a hearty and delicious southern breakfast in their kennel house, Boots Hall. No hunting experience is required, we will be there to guide you! Sunday morning take a 1 hour drive to the epicenter of Eventing in the US, Aiken South Carolina. Here we will do a clinic with Booli at The Vista, 185 beautiful acres of rolling hills and level terrain. It is designed to accommodate a wide range of horse and rider abilities including beginner through international level competitors. The combined training schooling facility supports dressage, cross country, hunter/jumpers, as well as conditioning for all equine disciplines. The Vista is a 45 minute drive from Augusta Airport. RIDER LEVEL Level 3 minimum. Riders must be pre approved for this booking. Horses will be of varying levels and capabilities. SETTING The South is full of avenues of live oaks draped in Spanish Moss and abundant wildlife.
