Black leather hides scuffs, boot marks and chain lube far better than white or fluro panels, so a suit that has seen twenty track days still looks presentable in the paddock. The trade-off is daylight visibility on public roads, which is why the red flank stripes and white sleeve branding are there. If your riding is mostly street and low light, run a hi-viz vest over it. Fit and Sizing Before You Order Race cut means tight on purpose. A one-piece is measured for a rider folded over the tank, not standing upright in a mirror, so the first fit will feel aggressive in the shoulders and short in the torso. That is correct. Warmer than a white suit in direct sun, yes, but the build compensates more than the color costs you. The leather is double-layer air-vented, there is a 3D air vent panel moving air across the torso, and the mesh lining pulls out entirely for hot weather sessions. The bigger heat problem on track is standing around in the pit lane fully zipped, not riding. Unzip to the sternum between sessions, pull your arms out at the grid, and hydrate properly. Riders in black leathers race in Texas and Florida summers without issue. Can I ride this on the street or is it track only? You can ride it on the street, and the black colorway is the reason most people choose this one over the red and white version. It looks far less like a costume off the bike. What it will not do is make you comfortable in traffic. A one-piece has no waist zip, so you are in it or out of it, and the race cut fights you at upright riding angles and at low speed. For canyon runs, track days and Sunday sport riding it is the right call. For commuting or touring, buy a two-piece. Does it include a back protector, and can I add a chest protector?
