YU026: Yucca elata (Elfin Form)

ADORABLE! might describe this Elfin form of Soap Tree. Found in the mystical Guadalupe Mountains of NM. In contrast with its bigger cousin, this jewel only gets 3-4 ft tall. The 12 inch wide heads of foliage are about 1/3 the size of regular elata. The plant tends to branch at a fairly young age. White flower spikes 3 ft above the foliage in May/June. Full sun, Zone 5. Sold in 2.5-inch pots.
