Sleepy Hollow | Portal Candle

As you know, a few of the characters in the old headless horseman tale were based on real people, so I’m curious to find out if the Sleepy Hollow of Mr. Irving’s time is as bewitching as he described it in his writings. Authors tend to write what they know, so I now find myself sitting under the cloak of darkness, hidden by a large tree, so I can see if this headless horseman does in fact ride at midnight. As I wait, I’m enjoying the scent of the fall forest blending with a bonfire off in the distance, which makes this sleepy hollow rather magical.
