Cetirizine Hydrochloride BP is a second-generation, non-sedating antihistamine. It is primarily used for the fast, temporary relief of allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy or watery eyes, and chronic hives (urticaria).Dosage and UsageStandard Adult & Child Dose: The typical dose for adults and children aged 6 years and older is one 10 mg tablet, taken once daily.How to Take: Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. It can be taken with or without food.Duration: It is advised not to exceed more than 10 mg within any 24-hour period.PrecautionsWhile cetirizine is known as a non-drowsy antihistamine, it can still cause mild sleepiness, fatigue, or dry mouth in some individuals.
