Phone Photography Masterclass

Thursday 15th April 2027 10am - 4pm Level: New Skills Struggling with taking good images to help promote your floristry business? Join us for this one day course and learn how to not only construct designs to photograph and learn from an experienced photographer on how to photograph them using your phone! In the morning, Sarah will teach you the importance of colours, light and dark and flower placement whilst creating a design - each student will construct a design to photograph with Ian. Ian Olsson an experienced photographer based in Cambridge, who teaches Phone photography, will be leading the practical phone photography session. You will learn how to use different lights, colour and filters on your phone along with backdrops and locations to get the perfect image. He will introduce you to tripods and equipment that will help you take better images.. Ian will discuss using image editing apps and software and basic editing of images. This course is ideal for anyone starting out on their floristry journey or for those who have been in floristry a while but struggle with producing good images for online marketing, whether product images for your website or general brand images. DETAILS The course includes all the materials needed to complete the design in the morning. You will also be provided with tools to use during the day. You will need to bring a phone with you capable of taking photographs. I-Phones or Androids are both covered. You will need to bring a packed lunch with you. We would recommend wearing comfortable shoes and clothing that you don't mind getting wet or dirty (as flowers involve a bit of both!)
