Early 19th Century French Charles X Chest
A superb early 19th Century French Charles X commode, dating from circa 1820–1830. Crafted in richly figured rosewood with marquetry inlay, featuring a shaped frieze drawer, three central drawers, and a concealed plinth drawer. The deep rosewood patina contrasts beautifully with the intricate inlaid decoration, while the original white marble top with reeded edge adds elegance and practicality. Exceptionally heavy and solidly constructed, with original oak-lined drawers throughout, this is a fine example of French cabinetmaking. (1051C) Dimensions: Length 130cm, depth 60cm, height 100cm
