Olympic Peninsula Sprinter Meetup
Some of the best people you will ever meet also happen to drive a Sprinter. This is three days on the Olympic Peninsula with a small group of fellow van owners. Good roads, good food, real conversation around a fire at night. Becks and JJ will be there the whole weekend, but this one is really about everyone who shows up. Event Overview Owning a Sprinter is a strange kind of community. Everyone waves at each other on the highway but almost nobody actually gets to sit down together. This weekend fixes that. You will drive the High Steel Bridge on a quiet weekday with the group, climb Hurricane Ridge together, and share a table of fresh oysters on Hood Canal with people who understand exactly why you bought this van. Evenings are slow on purpose. Fires, good food, real conversation. Becks and JJ host the whole weekend and know this corner of the peninsula well, but the best part of this gathering is always the people sitting next to you. What You’ll Walk Away With New friends who get it. A small group of fellow Sprinter owners and three days to actually get to know them. A road only locals know. The High Steel Bridge on a quiet weekday, timed to stay out of everyone’s way and enjoy it at its best. A mountain you can see from the top, together. Hurricane Ridge as a group on a clear fall morning. A table of oysters with your people. Lunch at Hama Hama, fresh off the tide flats, shared with the whole group. Fires that run late. A catered dinner and a camp that feels like a reunion by the second night. A few real skills along the way. Tire pressure, gear checks, and recovery basics, woven naturally into the weekend rather than taught in a classroom. Itinerary Thursday: High Steel Bridge Convoy to the High Steel Bridge on a quiet weekday morning, planned specifically so we stay respectful of other traffic and the community around the bridge. Arrive at base camp early afternoon, set up, and meet your group. Fire and dinner together that night. Friday: Ridge and Oysters Morning convoy to Hurricane Ridge for views across the Olympics and out to the Strait. Back down by late morning, then south to Hama Hama Oyster Farm for lunch on the water with the group. The drive home folds in a little learning along the way: tire pressure, a recovery gear check, and reading the road ahead. Back at camp for a catered dinner, cooked by JJ. Saturday: Send Off Coffee with the group, then an optional morning drive up to Deer Park for one last view before everyone heads home. Requirements Sprinter Van All terrain tires recommended GMRS radio for convoy communication This is not a technical off road course. Stock builds are welcome.
