Ficus Elastica Burgundy | Rubber Tree

Ficus elastica ‘Burgundy’, known as the Burgundy Rubber Plant, is an upright indoor plant with broad, glossy leaves in deep green, burgundy and near-black tones. It performs best in a warm room with bright, filtered light, where its foliage develops richer colour and the growth remains more compact. Young plants fit neatly beside furniture or on a raised plant stand, while established specimens can become substantial floor plants with a tree-like shape. It offers a darker, solid-coloured alternative to the more variegated varieties. Keep it in a well-drained pot rather than planting it in the ground. The species can eventually form a very large tree with vigorous roots in suitable outdoor climates.
