2023 La Rogerie, Riesling Sommerberg Grand Cru

Alsace, France | 100% Riesling | 94-94 points RP La Rogerie began producing Alsatian wines in 2018, farming just two hectares of old vines across some of the region's finest vineyard sites. Each parcel has its own distinct terroir, aspect and character. Aged in former Champagne barrels and crafted in harmony with the lunar cycle, the wines are expressive, terroir-driven and defined by remarkable precision. Exceptionally limited production, with annual yields of just 5–15 hectolitres, Sommerberg is bright, vibrant and beautifully concentrated. Within the glass it reveals layers of citrus fruit and saline minerality, carried through to a long, refreshing finish. It is a truly thrilling expression of Grand Cru Alsatian Riesling!
