British-Grown Purple Statice Flower Stems
Add rich colour and natural texture to your home with our British-grown purple statice stems. Also known as Limonium sinuatum or sea lavender, statice has distinctive clusters of small, papery flowers in deep purple and blue-violet tones. The branching stems create a naturally full, slightly wild arrangement without needing additional foliage or filler flowers. Display them alone in a simple vase for an easy, modern arrangement, or combine them with roses, carnations and other seasonal stems. Statice is also well known for drying beautifully, allowing you to enjoy the flowers long after their fresh vase life has ended. Your flowers will arrive as loose, unarranged stems, ready for you to trim and style at home. Why you’ll love them Grown in Britain Rich purple and blue-violet tones Naturally textured, branching stems Long-lasting fresh flowers Excellent for drying Beautiful displayed alone Delivered as loose stems for arranging at home What will I receive? Choose from: 20 stems 30 stems 50 stems The product images show the flowers styled for inspiration. The vase is not included. As these are naturally grown seasonal flowers, the precise shade, flower density, branching and stem shape will vary. Some stems may be straighter, fuller or more open than others. These natural differences are part of their character rather than a fault. Approximate size Stem length: approximately 50cm Stem length and flower-head size may vary slightly depending on the crop. The stems can easily be trimmed to fit your chosen vase. How to arrange your statice Remove the flowers from their packaging and trim approximately 2–3cm from the base of each stem using clean scissors or secateurs. Place them in a clean vase with fresh water and arrange the stems loosely, allowing the naturally branching flower heads to spread out. For the fullest display, rotate the vase as you arrange and place the broader stems around the outside. A 20-stem bunch creates a simple, relaxed display. Choose 30 or 50 stems for a fuller statement arrangement. Flower care Use a clean vase filled with fresh water Add flower food where supplied Remove any foliage sitting below the waterline Change the water every two to three days Re-trim the stems whenever you refresh the water Keep away from radiators, strong sunlight and ripening fruit Statice is naturally long-lasting and may gradually dry while still in the vase. How to dry statice When you are ready to dry the flowers, remove them from the water and divide them into small bunches. Hang the stems upside down in a cool, dry and well-ventilated room, away from direct sunlight. Once completely dry, display them without water. Delivery information Your flowers will be carefully packed for delivery. They may arrive slightly compressed after travelling, which is normal for branching flowers. Remove the packaging, trim the stems and place them in fresh water. Allow several hours for the flower heads to settle naturally. Seasonal availability may vary depending on the British growing season. Important note Fresh flowers are natural products. Colour, shape, fullness and stem length will vary slightly from the photographs. We photograph and describe our flowers as accurately as possible, but no two British-grown bunches will be exactly the same. Frankly, flowers refusing to look factory-made is rather the point.
