Christmas folk art PAPER CLAY Santa Claus

DESCRIPTION: Rare piece! This fellow was made from paper clay. Santa stands 6.5 inches tall. He wears his traditional style clothing and holds a small Christmas candy charm made from clay. Check out the painted eyes, the multiple layers of red on his clothing, and the homemade, unique snowy base. Again, it's been a few years since I've made a Santa out of paper clay. It reminded me of how much I love the look. Signed original art ARTIST: I am a long-time artist of over 30 years in the same medium of clay art. My background includes thousands of these characters, all unique and one-of-a-kind pieces. Past successful reproduction line with companies Enesco and Dept 56. Starting 2022 - Transpac Giftware Co. Holiday shows from 2003 - current. ARTWORK: All artwork is original. Each piece starts as a sketch, then I create an armature. I add clay; the clay is then processed and painted with layers of paint.
