Royal Spurtle Stirrer

Made in Fife by artisan cabinet-maker John Isaacs of Carving in Scotland using locally sourced wood. The spurtle is a wooden Scottish kitchen tool, dating from the 15th century, used to stir porridge, soups, stews, and broths. The royal spurtle is a replica of one gifted to King Charles III to mark the celebration of Edinburgh 900. The design is inspired by an oak panel at Arbroath Abbey.
