LUNG DISEASES FROM DIAGNOSIS TO TREATMENT

In this contemporary era, advancing technologies, environmental pollution, and difficulties in accessing clean food and potable water have led to an increased prevalence of diseases. The progressively aging population of the world we live in is confronting a growing burden of illness and is actively seeking new therapeutic approaches. National and international statistics demonstrate a steady rise in respiratory diseases. In recent years, lung diseases in particular have gained increasing prominence. During the diagnostic evaluation of pulmonary diseases, not only environmental factors but also genetic and molecular analysis, pathological, radiological, and clinical indicators together with associated neurological symptoms have prompted intensified scientific investigation. A substantial body of literature exists describing the pathogenesis and treatment protocols of lung diseases. Nevertheless, there remains a clear need for a comprehensive work that systematically addresses pulmonary diseases from diagnosis to treatment in all their dimensions. This volume has therefore been conceptualised and written to meet the aforementioned needs. The present work is composed of thirteen chapters.
