Set in Three Oaks, Michigan, home to the nation’s largest Flag Day parade, this verité documentary is a portrait of ritual, identity, and belonging in an era of political division. Over Flag Day weekend, the film follows a cross-section of townspeople, including veterans, business owners, marching bands, and volunteers, whose stories capture both the beauty and fragility of community life amid polarization. Filmed in an observational style, it offers a ground-level look at civic life, asking what binds us together and whether those bonds can still be renewed.
