Schnegg Walter (1903-1990) Bronze Figure
The seated nude was created in the 1970s on behalf of a renowned watch brand – as a welcoming figure for their new building in Grenchen. Crafted from solid bronze, it impresses with its timeless design and distinctive presence. After more than 50 years, the building must now make way for renovations – and with it, this piece of Bernese history. The sculpture is by the renowned sculptor Walter Schnegg (1903–1990) , who created numerous important works in public spaces in the Bern region and is considered a leading figure in Swiss post-war art.
