The V2 represents a significant leap forward in capabilities and function over the V1. Improved image processing combined with a higher resolution screen greatly increase the PFalcons image quality, increasing your ability to spot and identify heat signatures especially when used as a clip-on with a magnified optic. The faster screen refresh rate reduces lag, decreasing the need to lead moving targets to compensate for slower refresh rates. Improved battery life allows you to stay focused without interruption longer. The new V2 eyepiece has increased the size of the eyebox allowing for greater eye relief when used as a stand alone device. Other quality of life features such as recoil activated recording, a focus assist throw lever, USB type C connectors, Bluetooth remote and QD mount all add up to provide a big upgrade to a device that was already highly capable and great value.
