Mid-century Swedish Bench - Coffer - Blanket Box with Carvings

Swedish bench coffer in mahogany, dating from the 1950s. The front is decorated with carved ornament, including scrolling foliage and a central roundel depicting an archer. Further carved detail appears along the lower frieze and each side and moulded top edge. The hinged top opens to reveal a large storage compartment. The bench retains its green upholstered seat and matching lined lid interior. A practical and decorative piece with ample storage, suitable for use in a hallway, bedroom, or living room.
