Red Wine Quinta do Paral A Barricalha 2018, 75cl Alentejo

Barricalha 2018 is a limited-edition red wine, with only 1,000 bottles produced, crafted at Quinta do Paral, in Vidigueira, at the heart of Portugal’s Alentejo region. Made from old vines and inspired by the ancient Roman winemaking tradition, this wine beautifully combines heritage and innovation. Fermentation and ageing in traditional clay amphorae (talhas) are complemented by a further maturation in oak barrels, resulting in a wine of remarkable elegance, outstanding aromatic complexity, firm tannins and excellent ageing potential. The name Barricalha is derived from the fusion of the Portuguese words Barrica (barrel) and Talha (clay amphora), reflecting the harmonious union of these two ageing methods, which give the wine its unique identity and distinctive character.
