Day 1: Intro to Screen Printing with Anne Steen (September 19)

Beginning Screen Print — Day 1, Saturday September 19 There’s a lot of planning and set-up that goes into making a screen print. In the class you will learn: How to construct an image—We will look at some prints and discuss how they were made. How many layers are there? In what order were the layers done? How to plan and prepare to print—Using paper stencils, we will create an image, prepare screens, and set up a press. Basic registration. Squeegee technique—How the heck does this thing work? You will finish the day with a Screen Print Checklist and familiarity with the process and Remarque’s facility. Price includes all materials.
