Ornamental Pepper 'Medusa'

A highly decorative, compact dwarf pepper plant celebrated for its unique, non-pungent fruits. A single plant can produce up to 40 to 50 peppers at once. Unlike most ornamental peppers that are fiercely hot, 'Medusa' produces completely sweet, mild fruits, making it exceptionally safe for gardens with curious children. The plant gets its name from the twisted, snake-like mass of peppers that erupt from the top of the foliage, resembling the hair of the mythical Greek monster Medusa. To get these to successfully produce fruit again indoors, you must provide a strong LED light for 14-16 hours per day and provide a fan for air circulation; as well, you must manually shake or tap the plant when it blooms; otherwise, the flowers will dry up and fall off without ever producing a single pepper.
