Vintage 1970s Bow Tie Patchwork Quilt, 1976 Bicentennial Scrap Quilt, Full Size

Vintage handmade patchwork quilt dating to the 1970s. Made from a wonderful variety of cotton fabrics including seersucker, houndstooth, bandana prints, gingham, florals, novelty prints and more, all set against bright red solid blocks. One block features a red, white, and blue "76" print with stars commemorating the 1976 U.S. Bicentennial, helping place the quilt's construction in the mid-1970s. The backing features classic 1970s strawberry patchwork fabric. Freshly aired outdoors. Measures approximately 80 x 76 inches, making it suitable for a full bed or as a generous throw on a queen bed. Condition is very good vintage. I found only a few small spots (one small area on the front and two small areas on the back). There are also a couple of faded pieces that appear to have been incorporated into the quilt during its original construction rather than fading after the quilt was made.
