Forge Cellars, Willow, Cabernet Franc

Finger Lakes, New York – 100% Cabernet Franc Notes of red berried fruit like strawberry, hint of orange peel, followed by blueberry and lavender on the palate, with a soft, luminescent character. The palate leads with dark fruit and roasted red pepper with vibrant acidy and spice. This would be great with roast chicken or duck, mushroom-forward dishes, or grilled vegetables and lighter charcuterie. Hand-harvested and sorted, then spontaneously fermented in a wooden vat. It's part of Forge Cellars' broader project, founded in 2011 by Louis Barruol and Rick Rainey.
