Architectural black taffeta tunic from Junya Watanabe Comme des Garçons Spring 2000 collection, as seen on the runway. Sleek lightweight taffeta in a trapeze top silhouette with a notched neckline, collar, and 3/4 length sleeves. Or so it seems. The top's uniquely draped asymmetrical silhouette includes an intriguing opening that the sleeve is pulled through to then wrap the tunic around you like a cocoon to reveal the rows of approx. 20 pleated ruffles from the garment's interior. As incredible as this piece is from the outside, it's what's on the inside that is a real surprise! A convertible piece that can be worn either way. A real 2-for-1 moment! Labelled a Small.
