Nice bahloli of Humayun (1530-1556), 938 AH, Dar-Ul-Khalifat Agra, Mughal Empire

Inscriptions on both sides - Minted at the location of Dar-ul-Khalifat Agra, with a knot within the mint name, dated to 938 AH (1531). 18mm, 9.17 grams. Mint of Dar-ul-Khalifat ("seat of the Khalifate") Agra. cf.Zeno #119774. Humayun (r. 1530–1540, 1555–1556) was the second Mughal emperor and the son of Babur. His reign was marked by struggles against rival rulers, particularly Sher Shah Suri, who drove him into exile in Persia. With Persian support, Humayun regained the Mughal throne in 1555, restoring his dynasty's rule over northern India. His reign was cut short when he died after falling down the stairs of his library in 1556, and he was succeeded by his son, Akbar, who would become one of the greatest rulers in Indian history.
