Our Timothy Blend is a cost-effective, nutritionally sound donation choice that is particularly well suited to sanctuaries feeding animals in larger numbers or looking to stretch their hay provision further without compromising on quality. Thanks to the incredible success of our Christmas Rescue Box Appeal in 2023, we were able to support so many rescues in need. Sadly, many of our favourite rescues are still struggling with rising costs, so we've relaunched our Rescue Box Appeal to help provide hay, forage, and essentials to the animals who need it most. We've selected a few partner rescues to support, and these will rotate throughout the year, ensuring more rescues benefit from your generosity. 💡 If you add other products to your basket, those items will be shipped to your own address unless you let us know in your order notes that they should also be sent to the rescue. Produced using traditional field-drying methods, Timothy Blend is a multi-grass mix of predominantly Timothy with Rye (Cotswold Sweet) and Fescue, giving it a diverse range of seed heads and a satisfying crunchy texture. The variety of grasses encourages natural foraging behaviour, which is especially valuable for rescued animals adjusting to a new environment and routine. The long, coarse strands are excellent for natural dental wear and support healthy digestion. It is worth noting that this hay is best suited to animals that enjoy or require a crunchier variety, and works particularly well as part of a mixed hay rotation alongside a softer hay. Please note that the name on the packaging differs by format: boxes are labelled Timothy Blend and bales are labelled Meadow, but the hay inside is identical.
