Over Dyed Indigo Kiwi Swim Trunk

A collaboration with Toronto-based multidisciplinary artist Jefford Lam of Caeterpillar. Starting with our Kiwi Classic Trunk as the base, each trunk is hand-dyed individually using Indigo, creating a one-of-a-kind textural pattern of stripes and circles unique to every trunk. The trunk features contrast stitching as well as a contrasted leg opening and circle on the back pocket. A true piece of art. Indigo: One of the oldest dyes on earth. Indigo is a water-insoluble pigment that requires a specialized, oxygen-deprived "vat" to color fibers, magically turning from green to vibrant blue when exposed to air. Note: No two pieces are the same. Limited quantities available. This item is made with natural dyes which will fade with character over time and can transfer.
