Pioneer offers an early glimpse of the spirit resting in our casks; vibrant, precise and shaped by New Zealand’s West Coast. Tasting Notes Cask Type: First fill 200L ex-bourbon cask ABV: 48% Malt: 100% Gladfield Distillers Malt Non chill filtered, all natural colour and flavour Appearance: A soft gold. Nose: Pioneer opens with a sweet nose, carrying notes of zesty vanilla custard, soft tropical fruit, and a touch of meadow hay. Palate: Layers of vanilla emerge from a foundation of sweet spice.
