Kopke Colheita Port 1986 A rare single-vintage Tawny Port from one of the Douro Valley’s most historic producers. Sourced from the 1986 harvest and matured for nearly four decades in oak casks, this Colheita demonstrates the depth, complexity and refinement that long ageing brings to Port wine. Carefully bottled only when the house deems it ready, it reflects the traditional craftsmanship of Kopke’s Colheita style. Deep tawny with amber highlights and mature golden tones. Aroma is rich and layered with dried fruits, toasted nuts and warm baking spice. Palate is complex and concentrated with flavours of raisin, fig, walnut and caramelised oak, balanced by smooth sweetness. Long, warming and elegant with lingering spice and nutty depth. Pairs well with nut-based desserts, crème brûlée, tarte Tatin, dried fruit pastries and aged cheeses.
