DAY1 Self introductions Background on my art journey and career in animation What inspires me and how I approach creating an interesting image Demo: Determining a goal/theme, then creating a mood board and a framework based on that goal Create black and white thumbnails with a focus on value structure, shape language, storytelling, and composition Q/A DAY2 Reviewing student b/w thumbnails Demo: taking black and white thumbnails to color Using reference images for lighting inspiration Focusing on color harmony, proportion, and storytelling Review colored student work Q/A DAY3 Taking a color sketch to final image Exploring textures and details to guide the eye Final adjustments and touches Portfolio review and final Q/A Recommended Materials Pc and tablet Photoshop or procreate *Frequent questions: What happens if I can’t see the classes live one day? • No problem. All classes are live but will also be recorded and posted on our platform. So you can see them whenever you want throughout the duration of the course. This means that if you cannot attend your class live at the stipulated time, you will be able to see them on the platform until the end of the course. These video-classes, 1080p, posted on the platform can be viewed unlimitedly during the duration of the course but cannot be copied or downloaded. Class recorded can also be viewed for 6 months once the course is over.
