Audemars Piguet "Tank" Ultra-Thin - Henry Ford Engraving/Provenance

Audemars Piguet are best known for the Royal Oak however, the brand produced a wide variety of other models and experimented with various dress watch designs such as perpetual calendars and more simple time-only designs. On offer is an interesting AP, circa 1960s and genuine piece of American history. It features a beautiful hand engraving that states "To our dear and good friend Tom many thanks...Henry Ford II. Tom S. Murphy was the Chairman of Capital Cities/ABC while Henry Ford II (also known as Hank Duce) is a household name and longtime head of Ford Motor Company. This particular piece has an extremely elegant feel on wrist with a thickness of just 4mm. The square case is 25.5 x 25.5mm making it suited for medium to smaller sized wrists. Remaining in excellent vintage condition, it retains a sharp case with crisp hallmarks and a dial that presents with minimal wear for this reference. It its 18k AP signed buckle which would be very difficult to locate otherwise.
