2022 La Contralta 'Al Sol Brilla' Vermentino Isola dei Nuraghi
Arguably the winery's flagship cuvée. Also 100% Vermentino, but from a single hectare; North East facing on Granite soil. This is fully destemmed and fermented for 20 days on skins in stainless steel. It's subsequently aged for ~24 months in wood, steel and then bottle. Extremely limited. 'Reminiscent of some of our favorite wines from the Friuli region, deep amber in colour - lots of power here, dried chamomile, candiedtree fruit, and a delicious nuttyness. The palate is full and driven by light brushes of tannin and a persistent acidity to balance. This is a truly gastronomic wine, dont drink too cold and match with pork or veal.' - CWS note Sardinia, Italy
