Antique Beech and Elm Captain’s Armchair

A neat antique captain’s armchair in the traditional manner, likely beech with an elm seat. The chair has a shaped horseshoe back with out swept arms raised on turned spindle supports. The shaped saddle seat displays particularly attractive grain and wear throughout. Raised on four nicely turned legs united by double stretcher supports beneath. The chair has a particularly good pale colour throughout giving it a clean and honest appearance. A particularly nice example.
