Baking & Pastry Class: Chocolate Chip Cookies Join us at I Love Pie Bakeshop for a hands-on baking class dedicated to one of the most beloved treats of all time - homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies made completely from scratch. In this relaxed and beginner-friendly 1.5-hour workshop, you’ll learn how to make bakery-style chocolate chip cookies using simple ingredients, minimal tools, and no heavy equipment. This class is designed to show that incredible homemade cookies can be made right in your own kitchen without the need for mixers or specialty appliances. Each student will mix their cookie dough by hand while learning the fundamentals of cookie baking, including ingredient ratios, mixing techniques, portioning, baking temperatures, and tips for achieving soft centers, crisp edges, and perfectly balanced texture. We’ll also cover techniques for properly incorporating chocolate, shaping cookies for even baking, and simple tricks that elevate homemade cookies from basic to bakery-worthy. Each student will make approximately one dozen chocolate chip cookies to take home. You’ll go home with: Your own freshly baked batch of Chocolate Chip Cookies, recipes for recreating them at home, and the confidence to make homemade cookies completely from scratch using everyday kitchen tools.
