Caruso & Minini - Catarratto

2024 Catarratto Sicily, Italy Located on Sicily’s most western coast, this winery has a history dating back to the 1800’s when Antonio Caruso purchased it to grow grapes for the nearby Marsala factories. It remained family owned and was passed down through generations until the 1900s when Nino Caruso started producing and bottling their own wine under the family name. In 2004 the family joined forces with Mario Minini of Lombardy and created the present-day certified organic winery. Made from 100% Cattaratto, Italy’s second most planted white varietal, you can expect tasting notes of pineapple, lemongrass and a touch of salt. Pair this with seafood risotto or pasta alle vognole.
