This rare dessert plate from the Imperial Yacht S.M.Y. Hohenzollern, dated 1899, is an impressive testament to imperial dining culture and a highly desirable collectible for admirers of KPM porcelain, Kaiser Wilhelm II memorabilia, and German maritime history. Made of white‑glazed porcelain, the plate features at its center the large imperial coat of arms of Kaiser Wilhelm II, encircled by the chain of the Order of the Black Eagle, one of the highest Prussian orders. Along the rim appears the imperial personal standard, positioned above a banner reading “S.M.Y. Hohenzollern”, the state yacht of Kaiser Wilhelm II, which served from 1893 to 1918 as the most prestigious vessel of the Imperial Navy. This exclusive table service was used only during the Kaiser’s personal presence on board, making surviving pieces exceptionally rare today. The underside bears the classic KPM Berlin marks: the underglaze blue sceptre and the red orb mark, both dated. The plate measures 22 cm in diameter and remains in very good condition, with light signs of use and small traces of a professional restoration on the reverse. Combining royal provenance, high‑quality porcelain craftsmanship, and significant historical context, this piece stands out as a highlight for collectors of Kaiserzeit porcelain, KPM Berlin, and artifacts of German naval history.
