Needle Felted Owls

Discover the relaxing and rewarding art of needle felting as you create your very own adorable owl decoration to take home and proudly display. This hands-on workshop is perfect for beginners and those looking to develop their crafting skills in a friendly and supportive environment. Using beautiful British wool and high-quality felting tools, you’ll be guided step-by-step through the process of sculpting wool into shape. You’ll learn the core techniques of needle felting, including how to create a firm base, build structure and add detail. As your owl begins to take shape, you’ll add character with carefully crafted wings, bright eyes and, of course, those all-important fluffy eyebrows that bring your creation to life. Throughout the session, your tutor will share useful tips and techniques to help you achieve great results and build confidence in your felting skills. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have completed a charming handmade owl, as well as gained the knowledge needed to continue exploring this popular craft at home. Please note that needle felting uses very sharp barbed needles, which can occasionally result in small pricks to the fingers. Finger protectors will be provided for your comfort and safety, and guidance will be given on how to use the tools correctly. You’ll also be able to take your felting needles home with you after the workshop, and additional materials and supplies will be available to purchase should you wish to continue your needle felting journey. 2pm – 4:30pm
