Nelson Urrego and his family represent the second generation of coffee growers in the village of San Carlos, in Urrao. On their farm, they cultivate traditional Colombian varieties, as well as specialty lots such as Caturra Chiroso, which has become well-known in the region over the last decade. This variety is appreciated for its body, natural sweetness, floral and fruity notes, and balanced acidity, a clear representation of the Chiroso variety.
