JAPANESE FOLIAGE - COWDEN GARDEN SEPT 2026
JAPANESE FOLIAGE WATERCOLOUR WORKSHOP The Japanese Garden - named “Sha Raku En, or “a place of pleasure and delight” by its founder Ella Christie - is a unique and utterly authentic bridge between Scottish and Japanese culture. In it are many unique plants and trees, as well as structures with Japanese cultural significance, and there are several walks surrounding the garden. Join us for a 'relaxing and therapeutic' workshop devoted to the art of watercolour painting at the tranquil Japanese Cowden Garden. You will learn how to illustrate seasonal foliage from the gardens, like 'Acers & Euonymus' experimenting with loose style watercolour technique to convey the beautiful rich colours and textures of the season. The workshop will include all art materials, but if you have your own materials you are more than welcome to bring along. Ticket price includes entry into the Japanese Gardens. Date: Friday 18th September 2026 Time: 10.30am - 1.00pm Price: £70 (inc garden entry, tea/coffee & homebaking) To book visit: https://cowdengarden.com
