The ergonomic 3-finger lever design positions the pivot point closer to the handlebar. This provides a more natural braking feel and improved control throughout the lever stroke. The hydraulic system uses Shimano Mineral Oil for consistent braking performance and easy servicing. Shimano’s One-Way Bleeding design helps minimise trapped air during maintenance for a cleaner and more straightforward bleed process. For riders tackling longer descents or carrying additional loads, the U8000 system supports Shimano Ice Technologies brake pads to assist with heat management and reduce brake fade under sustained braking.
