SOLANACEAE takes its name from the nightshade family, tomatoes, belladonna, datura, tobacco. Plants associated with nourishment, danger, medicine, obsession, and cultivation all at once. The artwork draws from antique botanical studies and greenhouse field sketches, centered around the tomato vine as both domestic object and underground system. Printed in softened vegetal tones on warm cream cotton, the piece feels closer to a worn field guide or herbarium page than a conventional graphic tee. Designed with an oversized silhouette and heavyweight structure, SOLANACEAE has a substantial hand while remaining soft against the body.
