Ocean Jasper Palmstone | 5.8cm | Madagascar Acquired from an old private collection, this palmstone comes from the earlier translucent finds of Ocean Jasper — and that quality is immediately apparent. The orbs themselves have a translucent, almost glassy quality, as though light is passing through them rather than simply reflecting off the surface. The base colour flows from left to right in a long, unhurried gradient: grey at one end, warming through orange in the middle, and settling into brown at the other. The translucent orbs sit within this shifting ground, picking up the colour around them and adding a depth that more opaque material simply cannot replicate.
