Title: “Charte von Polen nach den bewährtesten Hültsmitteln und dem Theilungs-Tractat vom Jahr 1793”​ ​ Description: Very detailed map of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth by Franz Ludwig Güssefeld’s, first edition of the map, capturing the geographic reality immediately following the Second Partition in 1793. During this brief transitional period, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth still existed as a heavily reduced rump state. The remaining central territory shown on your map would only last for two more years before the final Third Partition completely dissolved the nation in 1795. Created by German cartographer Franz Ludwig Güssefeld and published in Weimar by the Verlag des Industrie Comtoirs in 1793.
