This is the perfect workshop if you have dreamt of learning how to make your own cup, bowl or vase. In this 4-week workshop, you will learn the basics of throwing your own pieces on the wheel. I will guide you through the essentials of wheel throwing, then help you shape and throw different forms on the wheel. There will also be some time on your own to work with the clay and see, what unique pieces you will bring to life! // No experience needed! The workshop is perfect for beginners with no experience or if you want a refresher. Bring yourself, your excitement to learn and let’s get messy together! // Workshop Structure Week 1 & 2: Centering & Throwing We will spend 2-weeks learning the importance of preparing & centering the clay. We willpractice throwing and learn that mistakes and wobbly bits are all part of the process. Week 3: Trimming & Finishing your pieces In this session you will learn to Trim & shape your pieces. We will learn different ceramic forms & how to shape your piece so they are ready for Firing and Glazing. Week 4: Glazing We will glaze our pieces and make sure they are ready for the final firing. // Notes: Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and bring a small towel.
