The Premtool Square Edge Polished Silver Aluminium Tile Trim is a versatile profile that works both as a protective tile edge and as a decorative feature. The wider 10mm face gives it a more prominent, architectural presence. It can be used as a tile edging at exposed edges, or laid horizontally between tile rows as a listello or border strip. Supplied with a transparent easy-peel protective film. Choose square edge when A bolder, more decorative trim is wanted You want to use the trim as a listello between tile rows A more architectural, feature-led finish is the goal Choose straight edge when A discreet, minimal trim is preferred The trim should blend into the tiling Working with very large format tiles How to fit & cut aluminium tile trim Cutting to length 1 Measure and mark. Always measure twice.Leave protective film on until complete. 2 Cut with a fine-tooth mitre saw or metal-cutting blade.Do not use a standard wood saw blade. 3 For external corners, mitre each piece at 45°. 4 Deburr any cut edges with a fine metal file before fitting. Fitting the trim 1 Dry-fit before applying adhesive. Trim depth should be 1.5–2.0mm greater than the tile. 2 Apply adhesive and bed the fixing tab firmly in. 3 Bed tiles tightly against the trim. Keep the polished face clean.Remove adhesive immediately with a damp cloth. 4 Grout the joint, then peel off the protective film.Do not peel film before grouting.
