Welcome to Millennial Nostalgia, a hand-dyed yarn collection inspired by iconic cultural media from the 90s and early 2000s. The 2023 live-action Barbie movie introduced an entire generation to the amazing, colorful world of Barbie, but the real ones know Barbie has a long history of adorable children's animated movies. From Barbie in the Nutcracker, to Barbie of Swan Lake, and the entire Fairytopia franchise, I've easily watched over a dozen in my childhood. The classic story of Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses always stood out with its wonderful message of embracing uniqueness. It's magical world, gorgeous palette, and classical music definitely stick in my mind to this day. Genevieve is the seventh sister with no middle child syndrome. Strong, brilliant, outspoken, and brave, she leads her sisters and pursues her passions with no hesitation. (no spoilers, go watch the movie!) Oh, I hate to leave.
