Andreas Lundberg - Cage Dress
Albert Watson (b. 1942) is one of the world's most influential photographers, known for his iconic portraits and clean, stylish imagery. During his career, he has photographed some of the world's most famous people – from Steve Jobs and Alfred Hitchcock to David Bowie and Kate Moss. His photographs have been published in hundreds of international magazines and exhibited worldwide. When Apple honored Steve Jobs after his passing, they chose a portrait photographed by Watson in 2006. The image quickly became one of the most recognizable portraits of Jobs – intense, simple, and timeless. During the photo shoot, Steve Jobs immediately noticed Watson's analog 4x5 camera and commented: "Wow, you're shooting on film." Watson responded that digital technology had not yet fully matured, something Jobs agreed with: "But we'll get there." The photo shoot lasted an unusually long time for Steve Jobs, and the result was a portrait that captured his focus, intelligence, and visionary personality. Albert Watson later said that this was Steve Jobs' favorite portrait of himself. A photograph that documents not just a person – but an era of innovation.
