Stitch Queens open day 18.08.2026

'I had the best time at the Stitch Queens day yesterday. Lots of fun & inspiration seeing other Stitch Queens projects all wrapped up in a fascinatingly vibrant shop. Kara was a wonderful host and I can’t wait for the next one. 🙌 ❤️🪡🧵👑' - Sandra Time and date: Tuesday 18th August 2026 10-1pm Limit: 8 people - some days I can go over 1pm if I don't have to pick up the kids. Get cosy and creative in your community! Come hang out at Mount Vic and Me. Bring along a project, meet like-minded creative folk - and bring a plate to share. This is a chance to grow your community and swap ideas and techniques. You might be embroidering, painting, stitching and more. It doesn't matter. We'll have additional upcycled and vintage embellishments available if you'd like to purchase more fabrics to add to creative projects. Location: Mount Vic and Me 115a Great Western Highway Mount Victoria NSW 2786 Studio shop will be closed that day to the public. It will only be open to workshop guests. Booking for more than one? Please let us know the details of all attendees including contact details. Parking and transport: Park in the old General Store car park just two shops down from us. This is now a vacant shop with some parking available. Station St (turn right on at the lights heading west) has free all day parking. You can also park outside the Imperial Hotel (heading east towards Katoomba). Refreshments: Herbal tea will be available. Please bring a plate to share. Accessibility: Unfortunately our building is old and has 2 wide steps to enter the french doors. Once inside, you can move around freely on our timber floors. Happy to help you get in the door if needed. Our shop is up a little hill from parking on the highway. Toilet is an old outhouse up the driveway of 113 Great Western Hwy. Alternatively you can use the park across the road (which has MLAK disability toilet too). Ideally, if you have a support person, this shouldn't be too bad.
