Woven in the Jawzjan region of northern Afghanistan by Turkman artisans who have preserved their craft for generations, this rug brings together two weaving traditions in one piece. A flat-woven kilim base meets hand-knotted raised pile, creating a play of texture that can only come from hands that have spent a lifetime at the loom.
