Glass Enameled Pins, Pendants or Earrings

BRAND NEW CLASS! SUMMER 2026 Discover the colorful art of glass enameling on copper! In this beginner-friendly workshop, students will learn how finely ground glass powders can be fused to copper using heat to create vibrant, durable works of art. Participants will explore basic enameling techniques, including preparing copper surfaces, applying colorful enamel, creating patterns and designs, and firing their pieces to achieve beautiful glass finishes. No prior experience is necessary—this class is designed for complete beginners as well as those looking to explore a new artistic medium. Students will have the opportunity to create their own unique enameled copper artwork while learning about the fascinating relationship between glass, metal, color, and heat. Each piece will be fired during class, allowing students to take home their finished creation the same day. This class can run up to 2 hours depending on the complexity of your design. Add Ons: If an additional hour is needed to complete your project it can be added for an extra $10. You can use up to 4 colors in your design. If you would like to by the use of additional color you are more then welcome. Each additional color used is $5. Silver leaf foil to elevate your design for an additional $10 About the instructor: Kyla Miller is an Enamellist and Jeweler based out of Providence, Rhode Island and is earning her BFA in Jewelry and Metal Smithing at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. She found the medium of Enamel when looking for a way to incorporate more complex color designs into her work, and has since jumped into the deep end!
